These unique, large, multicolor beans were discovered in the 1960’s during an excavation in Southwestern Utah. Several seeds were unearthed from a clay pot inside a dwelling. Fremont People, native inhabitants of the area until approximately 800 years ago, are the namesake for these remarkable beans. Grown by Worden Farms, Burlington, Colorado and Worden Produce, Monroe, Utah, the reintroduction of these beans from 40 seeds has been a labor of love for the Worden Family. Much appreciation goes out to them for their time, research, and personal touch in bringing this piece of history back to life.
